Beyond Telluride (Girls Only) Ages: 10-12 June 23-July 2 Cost: $980 Eight Overnights
GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS! Are you looking to venture beyond Telluride and explore the beauty of Colorado? Join Nancy Parkinson and Casey Graves for a ten-day exploration of the colorful and exciting regions that Colorado has to offer. We?ll begin with a drive through the gorgeous Rocky Mountains from Telluride to Steamboat Springs. Together we will embark on a two-day backpacking trip through the Zurcles where we?ll share stories as we explore the beautiful surroundings. We will then return to Steamboat for an evening soak in the tranquil Strawberry Park Natural Hot Springs. The following day we?ll white water raft the daring Roaring Fork River, before heading east to the museums, galleries, and shops of the great city of Denver. We will complete our city trip with a play day at Elich Gardens Amusement Park before heading back to Telluride by way of Blue Mesa Reservoir. Then we can share our experiences with those who didn?t dare to venture Beyond Telluride!

Itinerary
Monday, June 23 (Day 1): Orientation day. Meet at the Middle-High School from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We will get aquainted and discuss and plan our trip logistics. Please bring all items on the equipment list because we be doing an equipment check and then pack the van.
Tuesday, June 24(Day 2): Arrive at 9am sharp with a sack lunch ready to leave for Steamboat Springs where we will car camp for the night.
Wednesday, June 25 (Day 3)-Friday, June 27 (Day 5): Leave camp for a three-day, two-night backpack trip in the Zurcle Mountains near Steamboat, returning to Steamboat Springs where we wil spend the evening soaking in the Strawberry Park Natural Hot Springs.
Saturday, June 28 (Day 6): Spend the day white-water rafting the Roaring Fork River. This afternoon we will begin heading towards Denver and Colorado's Front Range and spend the evening camping west of Rocky Mountain National Park.
Sunday, June 29 (Day 7): Explore Rocky Mountain National Park and camp near Estes Park, Colorado north of Denver.
Monday, June 30 (Day 8)-Tuesday, July 1 (Day 9): Head to Denver. Take in a Colorado Rockies game at Coors Feild. Spend a day enjoying the thrill rides of Elich Gardens, Explore the museums, galleries, and shops of Denver. Camp at public camping facilities t.b.d. outside of Denver.
Wednesday, July 2 (Day 10): Head home, arriving in Telluride by 4 p.m. We will contact the Academy office with specific time from Montrose, Colorado.
